Davis Christmas

We woke up this morning to another day of Christmas...
Gavin was so excited when he saw his gifts from Santa. He has been obsessed with kitchens and I was finally able to talk Nick into letting Santa get him one.

{patiently waiting for Drew to finish his stocking because he had already opened his}

Needless to say...it was a wonderful Christmas and we were all SPOILED.  We are so fortunate to have such wonderful family to spend the holidays with.  We love you all and can't wait for next Christmas.

Christmas [on the road]

This is the first Christmas in 26 years that I didn't spend with my side of the family.  We decided last year that we would spend Thanksgiving at our house and then spend Christmas day with Nick's family.

Christmas Morning:
We drove late Friday night down to Santa Ana to spend the night at Nick's Grandma's house.  It was so nice waking up Christmas morning and letting Gav play with Great Grammy.  Not to mention...she makes the BEST monkey bread ever!

 Santa made a special stop

Nick's aunt, her husband and his Uncle and his family all came over as well.  We drank coffee, ate monkey bread, had good conversation, and enjoyed each others company.

At 1:00 we packed up and headed out for Poway.

{We thought this little guy was going to take a nap so we left him in his jammies for the car ride: needless to say...he never did. Can you blame him? How fun is Christmas at this age?}

We ate as soon as we got to Nick's grandparents house

He was SO EXCITED about this gift from his Great Grandma and Grandpa

He was so ready to ride it that we couldn't peel him off it. He opened the rest of the gifts practically cemented to it.

 We played some dice

and enjoyed each others company!  It was such a nice Christmas...Gavin had such a good time with all the family and we didn't hit any traffic:)

Construction Man

Gavin loves helping daddy and poppy around the house.  He now has his own tool set so he gets to be their sidekick. After the days of rain this week he went out to help "direct" poppy while he put back up the decorations.

Ho Ho

Gavin calls Santa "Ho Ho".  It started out with just "Ho" then progressed to two syllables.  We took Gav to see him knowing that he was probably going to cry.  Needless to say, he didn't let us down.  I put him on Santa's lap and he wailed.  Santa opened a lollipop (he had no idea what it was) and he grabbed it and started to calm down.  We never got a smile out of him, but we were able to take one with a very serious face.

20 Weeks

We finally hit the halfway point!  I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going.   I'm sure it's because I spend my days chasing after, cleaning up after, feeding, changing, and cuddling my little man.  I'm glad it's going fast because I am already getting impatient.  I want to hold this little guy so bad!  Gavin just got to feel him kick for the first time and his face was priceless.  He giggled and turned and looked up at me and then kept rubbing his hand over my belly.  He already LOVES his little brother!

Ian's Arrival

We got up early this morning to get to the hospital and welcome {little} baby Ian. We anxiously waited in the halls (we were pretty noisy) to see that adorable bundle of joy. Ian is so precious! We are so thrilled for Jessi, Phil, and Emma.
